Thank you for your interest in participating in the Solid GEMS Summer Institutes – Chemistry, Biology, and Math.
These institutes are designed to enhance student opportunity for successful completion of introductory science coursework with the goal of expediting enrollment in upper-division science courses. Participants are required to attend academic classes, supplemental instruction sessions, academic excursions, and engage in research discussions throughout the 7 – 13 week institute (number of weeks depends on course enrollment). Participation in either of the summer institutes requires full-time enrollment in summer program activities; thus, you will not be able to enroll in other coursework.
This program is funded through a grant received from the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education Educational Opportunity Fund; thus, only EOF funded students are eligible for participation. If sufficient funds are not received, the program will not commence and students must identify alternative summer academic experiences.
